Several of the Life Science Research Infrastructures have signed collaboration agreements in order to continue joint efforts to facilitate user access to their services and technologies.
- Euro-BioImaging signed a Collaboration Agreement with EMBRC in 2020 to strengthen cooperation around their services; a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Instruct-ERIC and EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC in 2022 covering user access, training, FAIR data management and funding opportunities; and renewed its MoU with ELIXIR in 2025, focusing on imaging and biomolecular data integration, interoperability, AI and training. In 2025, Euro-BioImaging, ELIXIR, Instruct-ERIC and EMBL also signed an MoU to develop the candidate EOSC Life Sciences Connect Node.
- BBMRI, EATRIS and ECRIN – signed Jan 2019 by Erik Steinfelder (BBMRI), Anton Ussi (EATRIS) and Jacques Demotes (ECRIN)
- EMPHASIS, the European Infrastructure for Plant Phenoytyping, is collaborating with ELIXIR, which is dedicated to data sharing and integration. The two ESFRI infrastructures have developed a cooperation strategy identifying common tasks summarised in a meeting report. The development of the common strategy involved the Plant Community of ELIXIR (EXCELERATE WP7) and (essentially) the data WP (WP4) of EMPHASIS and EPPN2020.
- ELIXIR and Instruct-ERIC announced a strategic collaboration with the signing of a joint statement as well as ELIXIR and BBMRI-ERIC.
